Hometown Heroes Bouldering Comp – October 28th

By

It’s time to get back to our roots and remember where our sport came from. Fort Collins has a rich history in the climbing world, harking back to John Gill fathering the discipline of bouldering on the rocks above our very own Horsetooth Reservoir. Come be a part of this special comp! Expect a different flavor; an elegant style, from a more civilized age. This comp is open to everyone, of any age or ability.

In the morning are two heats for a USA Climbing Youth Local Competition. Adults and older youth may also compete in the redpoint-style qualifier heats, and then stick around for finals and watch the pro athletes battle for supremacy. We’ll have various activities and vendor demos running all day long, and local food trucks will be repping in the parking lot.

Major raffle give aways throughout the day.

Delicious food from Corndoggies and The Sustainable Spoon.

Beer from Snowbank Brewing and Intersect Brewing will be provided during finals.

Spectating and all other non-comp activities are free of charge! We can’t wait to share this epic day with you!
